1984- George Orwell.
Is it just easier to imagine that people do things for "the greater good"? Or is it true, that "power is not a means; it is an end." People in power always have the guise of being there to help, listen, console. But once these people admit their thirst for power is driven by nothing righteous, will they be able to lead unabated?
A three class system, seen throughout history...can the ferocity of one class swell and overtake others if they never have an outlet or means?
I do not want to go too much in detail of the book, but it is a must read if you have yet to read it. Can the human spirit ever be quelled, and what is the cost?
